After nearly four decades at the easel, Scott Christensen is recognized internationally for his masterful and fluid landscape compositions. His singular vision is inspired by decades of study of the great masters including Isaac Levitan, Joaquin Sorolla as well as Anders Zorn among others. Christensen’s choice of subject matter has long been dictated by nature, providing him with an endless source of inspiration, whether it’s glacial fed streams and rugged sunlit peaks or groves of aspen, high alpine meadows and  dramatic coastal views. Working initially from plein air studies, he records nature’s transient moments, capturing the atmospheric effects of light, shadows and color as they play on the landscape.
