Description:
Brad Greenwood has created an artistic furniture piece that is both striking and pragmatic. An intricate high-relief carving of a man riding a horse into a tipi village tells the story of a Plains Indian rider dragging his grandfather home in his “travois” (an A-frame structure of two poles serving as shafts bearing a platform or net for a person or load). The travois poles would leave tracks in the ground that often assisted others to find their way.
Other features that delight the eye include the re-creation of the Native American symbols burned into the top tier drawer fronts, hand-forged and welded metal work and lighting, meticulous details, lined drawers, textured surfaces, and numerous other qualities.
Greenwood utilizes a striking array of hardwoods, repurposed steel, and more throughout this notable piece. His work embodies the design perception, handcraftsmanship, and time-honored building techniques inherited from Old World masters. Every aspect provides significant beauty and durability that can withstand the test of time.
His standard of taste is long-lasting – His furniture, timeless.
Made in its entirety by the artist.
